LIVESTREAM: Athletic Club vs Manchester United | UEFA Europa League Semi-Final

Manchester United are away to Athletic Club in the first leg of their huge Europa League semi-final tie tonight at Estadio de San Mames.

The quarter-finals were certainly not short on drama as United scored three goals in a

frenetic period of extra time to turn over Lyon, while Athletic saw off Rangers 2-0 on aggregate. It will be the two clubs’ first meeting since the 2011-12 Europa League round of 16, with their only other meetings coming back in 1957.

Ruben Amorim will hope to keep the semi-final rather more straightforward, but that may not be easy – barring the Lyon comeback, United are winless since March 16, when they beat Leicester 3-0.

Athletic are in the midst of a strong season, sitting fourth in LaLiga with just one loss in their last 10 matches across all competitions.

They have recorded four draws in that time, though, three of which were goalless. Whether United can overcome such a stern defence will prove pivotal.
