Manchester City must come from behind if they are to stun Real Madrid and avoid a play-off defeat in the Champions League.

It leaves Pep Guardiola’s side with a mountain to climb as they look to once again being knocked out by Real, as they were last season. City bounced back from their first-leg defeat with a dominant win over Newcastle over the weekend, in what was one of their most complete displays of the campaign, and they must now carry that momentum to Madrid. Erling Haaland limped off in the closing stages against Newcastle, but is expected to be fit.

Bellingham was sent off for Real in LaLiga for dissent on Saturday, but that suspension does not apply in Europe and he is available to feature. The winner of this tie will go through to the last-16 to face either Atletico Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen.
